The Old Farmhouse

This charming cottage is furnished to a very high standard with fine fabrics and antique furnishings in keeping with its ancient Cornish roots. The perfect rural retreat for a family holiday, or to relax near the beach and coast path. The Old Farmhouse is situated on a peaceful working farm, and enjoys extensive views of the sea and almost 360 degrees of surrounding farmland.

Tranquillity is the order of the day, with many guests simply enjoying watching the sky changing colour at sunset, or listening to the skylarks.

The Old Farmhouse can sleep up to five people, and a cot if needed.

Each room is provided with quality bed linen and towels.

The farm is a working farm, so occasionally you may see our tractor out and about working but only at sociable times! We currently have a few Jersey cows, who are very lovely. They will want to say hello, and are very curious!

Downstairs

Entering through a generous sun-trap conservatory, well equipped with comfortable chairs, you reach the living room.  This has an open log fire, an ornamental range cooker, and comfy sofas.

The light, bright kitchen is fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave, with plenty of storage, and a washing machine and tumble dryer available.

The dining room houses another ornamental range heater with a beautiful Welsh dresser, and a table that can seat up to 7 people. Also downstairs is an extra lavatory and the utility room.

Outside there is parking for two cars and a private garden with a picnic bench to help you enjoy the Cornish air. Sea views which change with the seasons and the weather are part of the deal. Entry to the property is via a key safe. Unfortunately we are unable to offer charging for Electric Cars.

Upstairs

Upstairs there is a large bedroom with sweeping rural views to the front and back of the property. There is a zip and link bed so the room can be made up as 1 Superking bed and 1 single or 3 singles. Please let me know in advance which configuration you need, so that it can be made up for you. We are sorry but we are unable to accommodate personal preferences for bedding. Please contact us if you would like to know what tog duvet is provided.

The second bedroom has a king size bed and gorgeous views over the surrounding countryside as well. Adjacent to the bedrooms is a family bathroom which has an oversized bath and separate shower.

Mobile signal is limited at the property, network dependent.
